This series will follow the detailed presentation of the Hinayana or “Path of Individual Liberation” provided in the first volume of the recently published three-volume set, The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma. These texts are a wonderfully edited compilation of ChögyamTrungpa Rinpoche's teachings given at thirteen years of annual three-month seminary programs for advanced students, recently made available for a broader audience in these volumes.

The topics covered in the Winter-Spring 2019 segment builds directly on those covered in Fall 2018 and include shamatha or the practice of mindfulness, the four foundations of mindfulness, vipashyana or the practice of awareness, the four noble truths, the path or journey, and the wisdom of egolessness. Trungpa Rinpoche’s presentation of the Hinayana emphasizes closely joining meditation with study

While meditation practice and dharma study are important, “retreating” from the speed of everyday life affords a rare opportunity to deepen our experience and understanding. In this intensive meditation retreat, daily talks and guided meditations will focus on how we encounter emotions, both on the cushion and in our daily lives. We will explore teachings flowing from 2,500 years of Buddhist tradition, inspired by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche’s presentation of dharma to western students.

New book available by Nalanda Translation

Chögyam Trungpa: A New Book of Meditation Teachings

Songs of Experience – These newly translated teachings on meditation were given by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche in Tibet, before he was 19. These meditation teachings are very personal words of advice, given directly by the teacher to the student, known as pith instructions. This tried and true method of transmission is to wake up the student to their own experience—as it is, on the spot. Learn more about the book at the Nalanda Translation Website here

Purchase the book from us here (only 12 copies available!) *This book will only be available for pick up at one of our meetings
