This course will follow the detailed presentation of the Hinayana or “Path of Individual Liberation” provided in the first volume of the recently published three-volume set, The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma. These texts are a wonderfully edited compilation of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche's teachings given at thirteen years of annual three-month seminary programs for advanced students, recently made available for a broader audience in these volumes.

The topics covered in the fall sections include the initial or entry stages into the path, the three jewels, the non-theistic nature of taking refuge in the three jewels, the nature and development of discipline, and detailed instructions on the practice of meditation. Trungpa Rinpoche’s presentation of the Hinayana emphasizes closely joining meditation with study.  The course will continue, with an exploration of further topics, in January 2019, as part of the WBC core curriculum.

Note: Price does not include purchase of Volume One, which will be available at our first meeting, at a substantial discount, and will be used for the entire 2018-19 academic year.

* WBC maintains a policy of making our programs affordable to all. Those with limited income please offer what you can afford on our donation page
